Extended Warranty – Terms & Conditions
For Thomson, Kodak & Blaupunkt Televisions, offered by: Super Plastronics Pvt. Ltd. (SPPL)
1. About the Extended Warranty
The Extended Warranty (EW) is an optional service offered by SPPL providing protection against mechanical, electrical, and electronic breakdowns after expiry of the standard 1-year manufacturer warranty.
2. Eligibility
• EW can be purchased within 12 months from the original date of purchase.
• TV must be new and purchased from an authorised channel.
• TV must be in working condition at the time of EW purchase.
• EW pricing varies by screen size and product age.
3. How to Register for an Extended Warranty
Customers must:
1. Visit the official Thomson or Kodak brand website.
2. Fill in details (Order ID, Serial Number, Purchase Date, Contact Info).
3. Upload invoice (if required).
4. Pay online to activate EW.
Activation is confirmed via email.
4. Coverage Under Extended Warranty
• Mechanical, electrical, and electronic breakdowns.
• Authorised spare parts cost.
• Doorstep service where applicable.
• Service only via authorised service partners and franchisees.
5. Exclusions
EW DOES NOT COVER:
• Physical damage, screen breakage, dents.
• Liquid/water damage.
• Damage due to a power surge or improper electrical conditions.
• Commercial usage.
• Accessories (remote, cables, mounts).
• Tampered serial number.
• Any unauthorised repairs.
6. Service Process
• Customer raises a request via website/helpline.
• Provide invoice, serial number, and EW proof.
• Repairs done via authorised service centre.
• If needed, the TV may be taken to the service centre.
• Replacement parts may be new or refurbished.
7. Visit Charges
Customer must pay applicable engineer visit charges for inspection or repair visits as per SPPL policy at the time of the service request.
8. Limitations & Liability
• Liability limited to the product's invoice value.
• No compensation for data loss, usage loss, or incidental damages.
• If BER (Beyond Economic Repair), SPPL may offer replacement/settlement.
9. Transfer & Validity
• EW is non-transferable.
• Valid only for the original TV with matching serial number.
• If the TV is replaced under standard warranty, EW continues for the replacement unit.
10. Cancellation
• No refunds after activation.
• EW may be cancelled if fraud or misrepresentation is detected.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes fall under the courts in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
